A Ride and Some Lunch

It was a beautiful winter day yesterday.  I needed to pick up some shop supplies and the Mr. said he would come along and buy me lunch on the way.  So we loaded up the dogs and off we went.

Cute Idea!

I have the most creative customers!  Maryanne, from California, purchased my set of Valentine conversation heart spoons.  I stamped each one with a conversation heart saying and then Maryanne fancied them up with chocolate.  She says "My kids and husband loved their chocolate covered spoons and seeing their message after they made their hot chocolate.  They even said they were going to keep them forever."  What a wonderful and sentimental gift idea!  Thank you, Maryanne!

The Mr. surprised me with flowers in a little vintage inspired suitcase!  So stinkin' cute!  He's so sweet.

And I got him a sweet tabletop grill for camping!  Not quite as romantic as flowers and candy.

Still Looking

I'm still looking for that illusive couch.  Today we went to Lyndonville and St. Johnsbury, Vermont. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day for a ride.  Out of the three stores we visited I found one couch that I liked....and it was lime green!  Maybe it was because I'm longing for warmer weather and that color reminds me of the fresh face of Spring!  It was so cute and had a wide seat, which is really important for that curl-up comfort that I'm looking for.  It was also a little pricey...$2700, but the salesperson said he could "give" it to us for $2100.

The thing is...if I purchased the bright green couch I'd have to get rid of all the red accents I have in the living room.  I like my red accents.  And didn't I say I wanted a white - ish couch?  That footstool in the picture is awfully cute too.  So were the pillows at $110 a piece!  I think I can find a better deal elsewhere!  Okay...looks like I talked myself right out of that one!

I made an investment in fashion yesterday!  I've been wanting some awesome Frye boots for a few years now and yesterday I did it...I bit the bullet...I succumbed to my yearning...I bought some awesome boots.  I think I'm in love!

Down Time

I've had such an amazing and busy week in my Etsy shop!  34 orders (so far) this month makes me very happy .  My goal is to be so busy that I consider hiring someone to help me.  A girl can dream can't she?  But right now I need to kick back and relax for just a minute.....with a nice glass of pinot.  Ahhhhhhh.....

Let's Make Valentines!

Every year my friend Gael hosts a Valentine making extravaganza!  She invites everyone she knows and as she says "her worlds collide"!  Friends from all corners of her life converge on her cute little condo in Vermont to forge their creativity and honor their loved ones.  She sets up long tables full of colorful paper, doilies, stickers and sparkles.  She's also a fabulous cook and provides us with awesome munchies to keep our creative juices flowing!
